When are we there?

Sailing is every Friday afternoon from May to October from 13:00 to 15:30. Some of our sailors like to come early and have lunch by the lake. Beverages are available.
Come down and give it a try.

Safety

All Sailability sessions are run by a RYA qualified Senior Instructor and manned by qualified Instructors and experienced sailors. Sailing is always accompanied by a Safety Boat manned by a qualified powerboat driver and a crew-member. All sailors and helpers wear life jackets or buoyancy aids when on or near the water.
Unfortunately we can’t act as carers but your own carer will be very welcome, and might even get a sail.

Boats

We use a variety of craft.
Access Dinghies – Specially designed for people with disabilities and take either one or two people
A Drascombe Dabber – A large, stable boat which can hold a number of people
A Challenger – A very fast Trimaran for the more experienced sailor
Wayfarers – Large boats which can hold a number of people and can be adapted to suit most people’s needs.

How much?

You can pay either a nominal membership fee for the year or a small amount each visit. We believe that no-one should be prevented from sailing because of the costs involved.

Who can take part?

We welcome anybody with any disability, with or without any sailing experience.
Our RYA qualified Instructors can teach you the basics and give you the confidence to sail by yourself. They can take you through different qualifications, improve your techniques, or just sail the boat while you enjoy the ride. Get in touch with us and tell us what you’d like to do.
